Material: White marble
Misc.: Marble has darkened almost uniformly to gray. Lower portion of stone is embedded in the ground. Minor edge wear. Inscription is legible. There is some erosion to the urn and willow motif at the top, but less erosion to the dense foliage carved around the tablet.
Inscription: Sacred to the memory of Marynda Wife of Ira Murphy who departed this life December 30, 1829, Aged 31 yrs, 3 mos., 16 days.
This stone was included in the Common Council inventory, but the name is spelled “Marinda.” No further information on either Marynda or Ira has been found yet.
